Renewable Ice Cream Packaging

These coatings provide a moisture barrier and seal the cup together during the manufacturing process. With the environmental concerns of processing fossil fuels, alternatives are beginning to be introduced commercially as substitutes to traditional resins.

Packages can be recycled in the same manner as other paperboard products such as cereal boxes, frozen food boxes, etc. When the product is recycled, the fibre is reclaimed and made into other paper products.
The coating dissolves and is removed in the same manner as other ingredients such as printing inks and varnishes.
