We are looking for Manufacturing Team Leads to join our Cups Department in Brenham.

Wage: $14/hr – $20/hr

Available Shifts: 1 position for each shift below

  • Days 7am-3pm
  • Afternoons 3pm-11pm
  • Nights 11pm-7am

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee the tasks performed by the production staff on shift to ensure shift’s targets are met
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure team members acquire the skills and knowledge needed to do their job efficiently and effectively. Will need to train new hires on basic fundamentals of the cup department, loading blanks, change out bottom stock, perform hourly quality checks,
  • Demonstrate and encourage teamwork within the department and with other departments
  • Ensure team members have the tools and materials needed to perform their job function at all times.
  • Communicate any quality issues with management
  • Ensure production team maintains a clean and organized work environment. We will need to ensure that cup formers are wiped down once per shift, floors are swept and free of mineral oil. Ensure that cleaning supplies are stored in properly.
  • Ensure all team members are in compliance with safety policies
  • Complete all necessary checklists
  • Direct team members to their work area and tasks where needed
  • Provide new ideas and feedback to production supervisor / manager
  • Continually seek ways to improve production processes
  • Must be able to work weekends

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to use computer programs
  • Ability to adapt to fast paced environment

What will help you perform the job?

  • Ability to comfortably stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to comfortably walk, sit, bend, and crouch.
  • Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (hairnet, ear plugs, safety glasses, steel toed boots/shoes).
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs (occasionally may be required to lift up to 50lbs).
  • Comfortable working in a warm climate.
