High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic.
1 – 2 years of experience as a manager/supervisor desirable but not essential

Authorities and Responsibilities:
-Manage and supervise the team of mechanics and helpers on shift.
-Working with Department Manager to ensure adequate coverage of shift through the scheduling of team members; resolving any issues such as but not limited to conflicts, vacations, illness etc.
-Distribute and delegate workload effectively to ensure the shift’s targets are met.
-Assist in trouble-shooting when a challenge is beyond the current scope of knowledge of the team member.
-Provide on-going training and support to ensure team members acquire the skills and knowledge needed to do their job efficiently and effectively.
-Provide feedback (positive and constructive) to the team member’s on shift to support their continued growth.
-Demonstrate and encourage team spirit within the department and with other departments.
-Ensure team members have the tools needed to perform their job function.
-Ensure equipment is operating at peak level to support the targets, goals and efforts of the production team.
-Ensure all team members, including self, are in compliance with all safety policies.
-Support the efforts of the maintenance department by providing input of ideas and feedback to Manager
-Continually seek ways to improve maintenance and production processes.
-Assist in the continual development of procedures and processes for the various machines within Stanpac.
-Interact effectively with all managers, supervisors and machine operators within other departments.
-Comply with all procedures and processes required within the functions of the maintenance department, i.e. including but not limited to the full and accurate completion of forms, checklists, inventory parts pulled/returned, etc.
-Ensure that while on shift ensure all pertinent information is shared within the maintenance team and as appropriate with the production staff.
-Ensure during shift change meeting all pertinent information is relayed to the next team on shift.
-Ensure team on shift maintains a clean work environment, including all maintenance areas and job site areas, i.e. maintenance tools while on job, returning tools to proper locale after job completed, etc.
-Ensure all tools used are returned to appropriate location by the team at the end of the shift.
-Read and respond daily to emails
-Email shift report at end of shift to Department Manager.
